Discover how manual osteopathy can improve mobility and foster wellbeing
Welcome to
Inspire Osteo
Kimberly Cooper is a Classically Trained Manual Osteopathic Therapist. Completing the 4-year program with the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and obtaining her Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Science (M.OMSc).
Classical osteopathy is unique in that we are concerned not only with symptoms such as a sore shoulder, sluggish digestion, or headache in isolation, but how these symptoms may result from asymmetry and restriction in other foundational areas of the body. Osteopathy is a science and philosophy that works its way back from the effects we are experiencing to their cause and then delivers treatment that considers the person as a whole.
What is Osteopathy?
The founder, Andrew Taylor Still, first introduced osteopathy in the late 1800’s as a total system of healing that recognizes the body's natural ability to self-heal and self regulate when free of obstructions which lower the vital force of the patient.
At Inspire Osteo, we use a variety of gentle manual osteopathic manipulations to treat restrictions found throughout the layers of the body that result in pain, discomfort, and or impaired mobility.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Long-standing issues will take longer to resolve. Please allow three to five treatments to determine if osteopathy is right for you.
The founder of Osteopathy's approach to treatment was to ‘find it, fix it, then leave it alone’ and so my goal is to get you out of pain and moving so you can get on with your life and only to see you again if you have reinjured yourself.
*Consider that injuries are either chronic or acute in nature. Acute injuries occur suddenly as a result of a fall, accident, or traumatic event whereas chronic injuries occur over time through overuse or repetitive misuse.* -
Please wear or bring flexible or loose clothing like jogging pants, yoga wear etc to put on.
Jeans and other restrictive clothing inhibit treatment.
If you're wearing a dress please bring tights or shorts to put on underneath for treatment.
I will ask you to remove belts, necklaces, eyeglasses, and pocket contents before I begin. -
Please plan to arrive at your appointment with 10 minutes to spare.
If you show up late you will only receive the remaining time available in your treatment window. 'No shows' will be charged for the missed appointment. Cancellation should occur a minimum of 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment however, I recognize that emergencies can sometimes arise so in that case please contact me through email directly. -
Many health insurance plans cover osteopathy. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your coverage and any potential out-of-pocket costs.
I have a billing number through OSTCAN and most extended health providers do cover osteopathy.
Check with your provider to be sure. -

Osteopathy is not a medical diagnosis.
There are people with certain symptoms and or conditions that I will need to obtain clearance from their doctor before I can begin any treatment. -
